| I was scrolling through Maine Coon Rescue’s site for the first time when I came across Truffles’s photo. She looked so regal with her white ruff, and I had to know more about her. Her story captured my heart, but I was afraid that I lived too far away to be able to adopt her. I contacted Truffles’s foster mom anyway and was delighted to find out that I lived close enough to be able to adopt her if I met the adoption criteria. I was SO excited when I found out that I could adopt her, and she joined my household soon afterward. She has a mischievous and playful streak in her despite being 9 years old, and she makes me laugh every day. Truffles’ foster mom and the staff at Maine Coon Rescue were wonderful to work with and obviously care deeply for cats. They have helpful resources on their website for introducing a cat into a new home and kept in touch to make sure the adoption was going smoothly and to help with suggestions.
