**THIS IS A COURTESY POST**

THIS IS A COURTESY POST CAT WHO IS BEING CARED FOR BY OUR FRIENDS AT OTHER RESCUE GROUPS/SHELTERS, OR IS A PRIVATE PARTY NEEDING TO REHOME THEIR CAT. FOR INFORMATION ON THIS CAT, PLEASE DIRECTLY CONTACT THE PERSON NAMED BELOW.

My name is Tabitha, and I was taken to Hillsborough County Animal Shelter in April, 2013 by my owner. I am 7 years old and very healthy. I spend most of my time lounging and all my time looking beautiful as you can see from my picture! I get along with the other cats in the house, but am not close friends with any of them. I prefer to spend time with humans, being picked up and held, or laying on an available lap. When I'm with my current human, I like to show her how happy I am by purring, chirping, and cuddlying with her. My fur is very thick and luxurious, so I do appreciate an ocassional good brushing to keep the matts out. I have all my claws but am well behaved and have not scratched any of the furniture. I always use the litter box. I may look a little heavy in the photo but that's really all my beautiful fur, so please don't call me "fat", like some of the humans I've met recently. And speaking of humans, I am very friendly, but please don't  rush up to me when meeting me. Have some manners, and invite me over by putting your hand out, so I can smell you. Once I've done that I welcome all the petting you want to give me.

Reason for Placement: Fostered through Rescue in Bradenton, FL from Hillsborough County Animal Shelter to save her. Cat divsion of Rescue had a medical crisis with the person running the division, and all the cats needed to be moved out/on.
