Say hello to Hero! Hero is around 5 years old. He is a Purebred Maine Coon.

He was rescued from a horrendous breeder situation. He was in very poor condition. He is doing MUCH better now! Sadly, he still has a starvation mentality. He will go into the kitchen cabinets looking for anything. His current home had to put child locks on the cabinets to prevent him from going in. He will also raid the trash. He will try to get on the stove or even in the oven to get food. You really have to be very careful with him and be cautious with him around food. 

Hero does have stomatitis. However, it is currently under control. He did have 4 teeth pulled due to the stomatitis. He requires a raw diet to help manage his condition. He is eating a raw diet from Midwest Legacy Beef. When he was rescued, he had a grade 3 heart murmur, which has disappeared due to supplements he is currently on. Hero does have a few eosinophilic lesions in the caudal area of his mouth, which are not concerning. Due to his health challenges, he is not current on vaccines. It was recommended not to vaccinate him. 

Hero is extremely affectionate. He loves being brushed and having his nails clipped. He loves dogs and dogs. He enjoys people as well. 

His biggest motivation is food. He is very OCD when it comes to food. His weight stays between 18 and 19 pounds.
