Healthy, Bonded 9 year-old Sibling Males
Nellie (red/white) and Simba (gray/white) are bonded sibling males who are in need of a new home through no fault of their own. Their loving human developed cat allergies which have not responded to treatment options. (She is a physician assistant so she does has knowledge in this area). The allergies have worsened to the point where she has to avoid cats as much as possible. Of course, they have been together and should remain together. They have been the only cats and much loved. Nellie and Simba are easy going and, true to the nature of most cats, will choose to hide if they just are not in the mood for attention or interaction. I think we all know people like that too! They like to play but not necessarily with the typical manufactured cat toys. They play with things like boxes and hair ties. They have grown up in a household that can be a bit "crazy" at times, and they go with the flow. Nellie and Simba do a great job of taking care of their coats but also appreciate a little help every few days with a good brushing. They are both neutered and combo tested negative. Vaccines are current other than rabies which will be updated before rehoming. Nellie and Simba are happy where they are so the right home is the only home that will be considered. The decision to rehome them was not one taken lightly. Applications will be screened by a Maine Coon Rescue volunteer using a MCR application.
