Online  Adoption Application

Zeus is an affectionate, loving kitty.  He loves to look out the window at the birds.  Considering what he has been through, his disposition is amazing!  He is very relaxed and nothing seems to bother him.  He loves attention, and especially if you rub his head! You can hear him with his loud purrs.  Right now, he only allows you to pick him up for a moment.  The more time you spend with him, the more he trusts you.   He will just rub against you if you sit next to him to show his love.  Once he trusts you and feels safe, he will be the ultimate lap cat.  It took him about 3 weeks, but now he is loving my lap.  

When he was rescued, his fur was quite matted, but we cleaned him up right away with a beautiful Lion’s cut.  Now we call him King Zeus, aka the lion king!  He will be absolutely stunning when his hair grows back.  His fur, which you can see from his head is a beautiful orange rust color and very thick.  He loves to lay on his back when he as the full fur coat.

He is approximately 5 years old and is very vocal with his meows. Sometimes his meow sounds like Scooby Doo.  He wants to be around you all the time, so he makes that known.  Zeus has quite the appetite.  He will definitely wake you up in the morning for his feeding and will let you know when he wants his food.  He loves moist canned food and temptations snacks.  Once you crack the can open, he comes running in his corky kind of way right under your feet.  He is quite the eater!   He is use to hunting for his food, but now he is served!  

He has been to the vet three times already for a checkup. He had a wellness exam and the microchip inserted on February 8.  He has a minor broken teeth and has overcome some eye issues, but overall doing quite well.  He will need future cleanings for his teeth.  He had some ear mites, but those are totally under control after multiple cleanings.   He recently had eye surgery on April 5th to overcome entropion.  His one eye was worse than the other, but now he is doing quite well.  This will need to be monitored ongoing.  

He seems to be fine with other animals. He likes to chase my one cat.   I don't think I've heard him growl or hiss once at my resident cats. He is starting to get comfortable in his space and he takes a lot of naps, but has lots of energy to play!  He likes to be active and run around and play with his toys.  He is very loving and I think he would make a great addition to any family.
