THE FOLLOWING CATS ARE BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME.

What can I say?  Sometimes things get a little confusing and us kitties try and play tricks on those rescue folks.  In case you don't know how it works,  the volunteers from rescues like Maine Coon Rescue are called about helping get some kitties out of the shelter and so they put on their serious faces and come down to see which cats they can help.  Now,  some folks like my foster mom,  try real hard to focus and LOOK for Maine Coon qualities since she knows we can't all be Purebreds and somehow she is supposed to choose.   However,  some of us kitties have learned the drill.  I must admit,   I was one of those--- I saw her coming through the doors and I knew I  finally had my chance!  She had an empty carrier and I didn't really know what a Maine Coon looked like but I said a little prayer and tried really hard to show off all my wonderful attributes.  I puffed up my beautiful coat and stretched out my paws so she would notice how positively awesome I was.  And then it happened---she stopped right in front of my home(you know that big silver box they keep us in). OH NO...she was looking right past me- to that recent addition to my home---that scared little tabby boy in the back corner.  HOW could she choose him ?  Here I am! Here I am!  I am so social and doing my best to show you how wonderful I am--- but you haven't even noticed.   I am so sad.  Then I hear her talking to Mr. Treyman about "that other  gray kitten".  Are they talking about me?  She didn't even look at me.  What's happening?  Mr. Treyman is scooping me up and taking me out.  Oh no,  I am so scared..what's happening?  I was just trying to get her to see how awesome I could be.  Before I knew it-- I was being whisked into a familiar carrier along with "that tabby boy."   I could hear her talking about how "Maine Coon Rescue never leaves a single kitten behind.  I was only five weeks old and it just isn't good for little ones to be all alone . He has a fluffy ruff and some tufts, he should be fine to get adopted."

Well,  I am not so proud of myself for tricking her into thinking I am a "MAINE coon"  but I am ever so grateful for her taking me to her home where I was fed like a baby until I could make it on my own.  Any yeah, that "little tabby boy"  is really "my brother"  now.  We run and play together and have lots of fun as we wait for our FUREVER home-  will it be with you?  I promise not too many tricks but lots of cuddles and hand bumps and Oh MY LOVE-FOREVER!
