Maine Coon Rescue spays and neuters all cats before they are adopted. Kittens are not adopted until they are spayed/neutered or have a Spay/Neuter Contract form completed. In accordance with state law, all cats adopted in CA must be Spayed/Neutered before going home to an adopter.

There are thousands of kittens that are brought into this world with no place to go and nothing to look forward to. Even those lucky enough to end up in a home often get left behind or discarded.

Please spay or neuter your pet, it's the responsible, practical, caring, ethical thing to do.

1st Year = 12 * 2 litters per year
2nd Year = 66 * 2.8 surviving kittens per litter

4th Year = 2,201 * X 10 Years = 80,399,780
5th Year = 12,680 the vast majority of these little lives
6th Year = 73,041 wind up as so much garbage in one way or another
